About Me

I left a successful thirty-year career as an ad agency creative director to pursue life as a freelance copywriter.  

My life as a physically challenged outdoor adventurer shaped my freelance career.

You see, I broke my neck in a diving accident while a student and was paralyzed from the neck down.

But I hadn't completely severed my spinal cord.

Intensive rehabilitation and the support of a loving family enabled me to regain my outdoor lifestyle.

My love affair with Mother Nature helped fuel that recovery.

Today I live and play in Utah's Wasatch Mountains with my wife Jayne, my daughter Erika and granddaughter Ellie.  

I'm passionate about the life-changing benefits of adaptive recreation and that belief permeates my writing.​
